Clinical Lead Nurse- RNLD or RGN

North Yorkshire Area

Full time position- 40 hours

Starting salary £32k.  £35k after successful probationary period

Salary scale upto £38k


Helping Hands of Harrogate Ltd is a growing care company providing personal and nursing care to children and adults with a broad range of learning and physical disabilities, behavioural and complex health needs. We organise the provision of services in people’s homes, the community and other social & educational settings across North Yorkshire, Selby, Bradford, Keighley & Airedale and are continuing to expand in the North & West Yorkshire regions.

We are looking for a full time (40 hours per week) Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD) to join our multi-disciplinary, professional team as a Clinical Lead Nurse.  

We are looking for someone who is thoughtful, caring, enthusiastic, motivated, organised & flexible.  The successful candidate will train specialist care workers to looked after children and adults with a range of needs and therefore experience of training and with looking after sick children would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be based at our head office in Knaresborough and will be responsible for the clinical coordination of complex care packages in North Yorkshire.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate ability to perform the following tasks:

· Completion of Assessments of Need for new referrals

· Completion and implementation of Outcome Based Care Plans & Risk Assessments

· Management and review of on-going support packages

· Delivery of mandatory & specialist training to specialist care workers

· Overseeing care workers skills & competencies & implementing relevant training

· Management of priorities and difficult situations in a professional, calm and positive manner

· Work with commissioners from the NHS, Local Authority and private clients

· Support Care Workers and appraisal of staff


Applicants must have their own transport and be able to evidence previous clinical experience and knowledge, as well as being able to manage their own workloads, be prepared to work unsocial hours when required to meet the needs of the business and be flexible, positive and committed to the role.
